“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Rev. 12:11
"I had the pleasure of meeting an elderly woman while going house-to-house one day with my SHINE outreach. She was feeling a little under the weather, like myself. She was also lonely so I asked if I might keep in touch with her. I also asked if I could pray with her and give her a hug. Her response was of a warm embrace, and replied that she'd love to see and hear me again. I thought I was there to be of help to her, when in reality I too was comforted. This experience is a small taste of what I believe heaven will be like, and brought tears of joy to my eyes."

"On a chilly winter Sabbath while Shining, I came across a frozen yard gate (surprise, surprise)! After spending a minute or two trying to open it unsuccessfully, I turned to continue down the sidewalk. Two seconds later I heard the house door open, and out came the lady of the house in her bare feet! She walked down the steps and opened the yard gate for me. I thanked her, shared with her the Gift Packet, and began asking her about her thoughts on the problems in the community. She told me that homelessness was the biggest problem, and that she and her family had been homeless up to about 5 months ago. She invited me in the house and for twenty minutes began sharing with me her painful journey of the last few years. Her husband joined her part way through and together, they asked me some heartfelt questions about God. It seems they had wandered away sometime ago, but now things seemed to be looking better, and they felt a desire to learn about God. Before leaving we had a powerful prayer together. Praise God!
One of many people waiting to hear the Good News in our city…”
